needless to say i haven't felt much like posting these past few days. everyone's been sick at my house: the son, the two dogs, and now me.
i'm so tired of cleaning up all the assorted messes these past few weeks. i could never be a nurse. even so, i'll never regret the two years i spent taking care of my mom as she fought her last battles with cancer. she took care of me as an infant and i was more than glad to return the favor. dang, i miss that woman.

I hope you feel better soon McKay. If I lived closer I'd make you my famous Matzah Ball Soup, it cures everything!
I'm so sorry. Hope you feel better!
Aww, poor you. That's no good at all. Feel better soon!
Are you sure that dog is sick. Maybe he's just thirsty. :)
I hope you are feeling better soon.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
that pic just crcked me up!
This post touched a tender spot in my heart.
My hubby's father is ill and he was gone all this past week to visit and help care for his dad.
I cared for my Gramillo when she was dying of cancer. It is such an awful disease, and I am so glad I was there for her, just as you were for your mother.
I am sad your household has been sick, and I am sad that you are sadly missing your mom.
I get so annoyed when freaks like John Mark Karr (who is ALL OVER the NEWS EVERYWHERE) are living life with health, walking, talking and breathing, and loving people like my Gramillo are dead and unable to hug their great-grandchildren. Life is not fair.
thank you, everyone for your well wishes and goofiness for those who get my quirkiness.
t, i miss having someone to make me homemade soup :0)
jd, awh, you've got me all teary eyed. i'm such a cry baby over emotional stuff. needless to say, you understood the underlying mood of this post and expressed it better than i.
hope you're feeling better. i'm glad i don't have kids - i don't know if i could deal with cleaning up all the mess!!! more power to you!
Awww.... it is no fun being sick because it's not like you still get the day off if everybody else is sick. Lots of hot tea works wonders, with lemon and honey.... and perhaps a dash of brandy here and there.....
Hope you feel better soon!
Hey! Time for an update! No more sickness! Get well!
I'd like to see you climb all the way in and flush.
Good God! That dog's been puking for a long time!
Hi terry,
How are you?
Me? Busy, busy, and this is part why. Sorry, but from here on, it's a form comment!
Sorry I don't get a chance to comment much anymore, life got exceedingly busy in a short period of time.
I'll be honest in that this is not entirely a social call. I have been selected to compete in a local blogging competition on the isssues facing America. It's sponsored by a business-lifestyle magazine linked to an event put on ny the Sac Chamber of Commerce.
The event is probably geared towards a slightly right-of-center audience (business people), but I'm ok with that. I posted today about it with all the appropriate links. I'd appreciate it if you would take a look - it kicks off on Tuesday.
Thanks,
Mike
awww. i bet she knows you miss her.

okay, okay...i know i've been a bit lax on the posting. i've been in a bit of a funk.migraines off and on...
family junk that can pull a gal down...
and i really needed to get more focused on work. this is an awesome job that i have - not the fantasy acting /directing theater type of career, but still ..i love my boss and job and pay, so what can i say? i need to make sure my boss is pleased with my work.
mike, way to out my first name, dude. sheesh.
norm, thanks i hope so. she'd sure not be happy about my ex and the whole family drama. just thinking about it gets me all emo (not in a goth, slash my wrists way, but in a 'i cry way too easy' kinda way).
oops, I am sorry - I'm so tired I lost my head. Just delete it, its ok
sam
no worries, mikey. what's gonna happen?
