this is why i bought a guitar. the first piece i want to learn is the second movement of vivaldi's guitar concerto in d major.
in the john wayne movie 'the cowboys", there's a scene where one boy is playing vivaldi's concerto in d. i fell in love with it immediately. i don't know why i didn't bother to learn it then when i actually had a guitar. perhaps i thought classical guitar was beyond my reach. if i can find the movie clip, i'll post it.
another one of my favorite movies is 'a little romance'. the score has this music throughout. beautiful. romantic. entrancing.
i listen to this and my soul flies to the mossy bricked walkways of italy.

I'm a guitar player. Vivaldi is my favorite boroque composer. I want to play classical guitar.

My son is an excellent guitarist. His goal is to be a ROCK STAR, of course, and he knew that to be a great guitarist, he had to play arpeggios and scales and practice, practice, practice.
He has many guitar idols, and they all use their classical training and infuse it into their guitar solos.
He now does the same thing, and it is a joy to hear!!
I hope you enjoy playing your new guitar.
You'll be strumming chords and picking melodies in no time.
Oh, I love this!
Haven't heard it in a while. A nice surprise.

There are many options. The last good book I read was Crow Lake by Mary Lawson. You can check my review.
You can't go wrong with The Thirteenth Tale either. It is new yet very like Wuthering Heights.
Margaret Atwood is a good pick any day. Her dystopian novels are marvellous.
If you like romances, Brenda Joyce never disappoints. She is only romance writer I read now.
Thanks for visiting m!
Wonderful clip. Although it shut down when I clicked on Comments.

I hope to hear you play someday. Maybe you could podcast.
