ACK! i just remembered i have to bake a pie for our 4th of July party. it's a great annual party with old neighbors from my childhood neighborhood. our families have known each other forever and they've taken me under their wing since my folks died and my marriage crashed and burned. and boy, am i lucky to be under that wing! they go all out for parties: the 4th of july party consists of clams, lobster, steak, corn on the cob, watermelon, drinkies...and the price of admission is a homemade pie.

If it's pecan pie, I'm definitely flying over.
I'm into berries, so I'd vote for a blackberry pie.
That party sounds like fun. The food will be super yummy!!
There's nothing more All-American than apple pie! I'm also partial to pecan and pumpkin if you've got some extra time for baking and going to the post office.
I'm with the cleaning woman on this vote. Pecan! And what time is that party? Just want to make sure my flight gets in on time.
Mmm, I make this yummy cheesecake every 4th of July. Just a regular cheesecake but use strawberries & blueberrys to make a flag on the top. But I'm a sucker for a cheesecake, strawberries and blueberries... I'm probably the only person that enjoys it. People probably cringe when they see me coming with my cheesecake dish... But I enjoy it. That's what the 4th's about --- Laci's happiness.
There's not many pies I don't like... so if it's not pumpkin or anything marange (sp?), sign me up.
I'm with JD - berries sound good!

Strawberry pie. No doubt about it.
Are you still off baking that pie, McKay?
What pie did you end up making????
Can I have a piece?
